How to set affected services and initial impact
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Service health on status pages comes from timeline updates. On create, Initial impact sets health on the first timeline entry.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin, or Editor.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Services exist in the workspace. See How to create a service. Only services also linked to a published status page affect that page’s rollup.
- On New incident, open Affected services and select services with the grouped picker.
- Set Initial impact for each selected service: Operational, Degraded, or Major outage (radios may also show short labels OK, Degraded, Outage).
- Click Create incident, or on an existing incident use Edit affected services / Add services when posting an update.

Result
Section titled “Result”Selected services show the chosen impact on published pages (merged with other open incidents and maintenance).
