How to post an incident update
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Use New update beside the incident Timeline / History to change lifecycle phase and service health.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin, or Editor. Resolved incidents may show Resolved — details are read-only.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”An open incident. See How to create an incident.
- Open the incident from Incidents or the Dashboard.
- In New update, set Event time if needed.
- Choose Phase (Investigating, Identified, Monitoring, or Resolved).
- Optionally enter a Message (placeholder What changed? (optional)).
- Adjust Service impact per service (defaults follow the last timeline row). Choosing Resolved sets every service on this post to operational.
- Optionally use Add services if new services are affected.
- Click Post.

Result
Section titled “Result”The update appears in History. Public pages and subscriber notifications refresh for published pages.
