How to set a page to Public or Private

Visibility is Public or Private. Private pages require at least one access method (password and/or IP restrictions and/or SAML, depending on your plan).

Who can do this: Owner or Admin. Private pages require Starter or higher (feature entitlements).

A status page. For Private, a plan that includes private pages.

  1. Open Settings → Pages and select the page.
  2. Under Page details, set Visibility to Public or Private.
  3. If Private, configure at least one method under Private access.
  4. Click Save / Save changes on the page form.

Public pages are openly reachable. Private pages show the access gate until a visitor satisfies an enabled method.

  • Upsell titles include Private status pages if the plan does not include them.
  • Downgrade notice: Your subscription no longer includes private status pages. Switch visibility to Public and save, or upgrade under Settings → Billing.
