How to override built-in UI labels
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Under Label overrides, search labels and save custom text for status page, emails, and admin surfaces.
Who can do this: Owner or Admin. Business plan (Custom language overrides require the Business plan.).
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Business plan. Publishing languages configured.
- Open Settings → Languages.
- Go to Label overrides.
- Optionally filter with Search by label name, default text, or your translation….
- Enter overrides (leave empty to keep the built-in string; preserve ICU placeholders like
{count}). - Click Save overrides.

Result
Section titled “Result”Overridden strings appear on the selected surfaces. Use Preview public status page when available.
